The qualification has been created to develop those learners who are looking to choose, or already have chosen, a career in a business-related sector. It is envisaged that this programme will encourage both academic and professional development so that your learners move forward to realise not just their own potential but also that of organisations across a broad range of sectors. The rationale of the programme is to provide a career path for learners who wish to develop their core capabilities within the cyber security and risk management sector. The outcome of the Diploma, which is a recognised UK qualification, is for learners to develop the cyber security skills required by organisations globally. In doing so, the qualification looks to develop the cyber security team leaders, managers and leaders of the future through the creation and delivery of learning appropriate for that industry.

CISSP Preparation: Covers content that maps to most of the 8 subject matter domains within the formal Core Body of Knowledge (CBK) required for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – the Cyber Security ‘gold standard’ qualification

Modules: 6 exciting Modules, each taking eight weeks
- Module 1: Cyber Threat and Risk (20 Credits);
- Module 2: Network Security and Data Communications (20 Credits);
- Module 3: Databases and Programming (20 Credits);
- Module 4: Incident Response, Investigations and Forensics (20 Credits);
- Module 5: Security Strategy: Laws, Policies and Implementation (20 Credits);
- Module 6a: Cyber Security: Banking and Finance (20 Credits) or Module 6b: Cyber Wars (20 Credits)
Assessment: One formal assignment at the module end. Informal (formative) exercises during module. Formal assessments include business reports and presentations. Informal include quizzes, comprehension, brainstorming and practice reports.
EU GDPR: Covered in an advanced manner via a dedicated module to data security
Accreditation: Pass every module to earn a Level 4 Diploma in Cyber Security issued by the eminent UK Higher Education awarding body, Qualifi*
*Progression Routes to University: Learners who pass Level 4 and Level 5 Diplomas, may progress into the Final Year of the Anglia Ruskin University Cyber Security Degree
